Cutler Scholar Awards are privately funded by forward thinking individuals who understand that investing in education is investing in the future. The eligible population for each Cutler Scholars Award is determined by the benefactor who established and funded the award. The benefactor designates one of the following:

Geographically-based Scholarships

To be considered for a geographically based award, a student must be in his/her senior year and attend one of the eligible high schools. Click on the following locations for more information about the geographically-based awards available for the 2018-2019 school year:

Ohio

Chillicothe

Jack G. and Sue Mathis Ellis Cutler Scholar Award 

Eligible population: Graduates of Chillicothe High School

Award: $23,000 annual renewable scholarship

 

Meigs County

Dr. James H. and Nellie Rowley Jewell Cutler Scholar Award

Eligible population: Graduates of high schools in Meigs and Vinton Counties

Award: Full scholarship

Rocky River

Lizabeth K. and Charles R. Emrick, Jr. Cutler Scholar Award

Eligible population: Graduates of Rocky River High School

Award: $23,000 annual renewable Scholarship

 

Greenfield

Wilfred R. Konneker Cutler Scholar Award 

Eligible population: Graduates of McClain High School 

Award: Full scholarship

Morgan County

DHI-Quidel Cutler Scholar Award

Eligible population: Graduates of high Schools in Hocking, Morgan and Washington Counties

Award: $23,000 annual renewable scholarship

 

 

Vinton County

Dr. James H. and Nellie Rowley Jewell Cutler Scholar Award 

Eligible population: Graduates of Meigs and Vinton Counties 

Award: Full scholarship

Hocking County

DHI-Quidel Cutler Scholar Award 

Eligible population: Graduates of high schools in Hocking, Morgan and Washington Counties

Award: $23,000 annual renewable scholarship

 

Oak Hill

Leona and Lewis Hughes Cutler Scholar Award

Eligible population: Graduates of Oak Hill High School 

Award: $23,000 annual renewable Scholarship

 

Washington County

DHI-Quidel Cutler Scholar Award 

Eligible population: Graduates of high schools in Hocking, Morgan and Washington Counties

Award: $23,000 annual renewable scholarship

 

New York

Olean

Ann Lee Hancock Konneker Cutler Scholar Award 

Eligible population: Graduates of Olean High School

Award: $33,000 annual renewable scholarship 

 

Discipline-based Scholarships

To be considered for a discipline-based award, a student must be admitted to one of the eligible academic units. Click on the following colleges for more information about the discipline-based awards available for the 2018-2019 school year:

Russ Legacy Cutler Scholar Award

Eligible population: Students admitted to the Russ College of Engineering and Technology

Award: Full scholarship

Charles R. and Marilyn Y. Stuckey Russ College Cutler Scholar Award

Eligible population: Students admitted to the Russ College of Engineering and Technology

Award: $23,000 annual renewable scholarship

Tom and Betsy Wheeler Cutler Scholar

Eligible population: Students admitted to Aviation in the Russ College of Engineering and Technology

Award: $23,000 annual renewable scholarship

E. W. Scripps School of Journalism

David C. and Joan Herrold Wood Cutler Scholar Award

Eligible population: Students admitted to the E. W. Scripps School of Journalism in the Scripps College of Communication 

Award: $23,000 annual renewable scholarship

College of Business

Barbara R. Caldwell Cutler Scholar

Eligible population: Students admitted to the College of Business

Award: $23,000 annual renewable scholarship

College of Fine Arts

Wilfred R. and Ann Lee Konneker College of Fine Arts Cutler Scholar Award

Eligible population: Students admitted to the College of Fine Arts.   

Award: $23,000 annual renewable scholarship

Humanities Majors in the College of Arts and Sciences

Claire O. and Charles J. Ping Cutler Scholars Award 

Eligible population: Students admitted to humanities majors in the College of Arts and Sciences. The following majors are eligible: English, History, Classics & World Religions, Modern Languages, Philosophy, Linguistics, Women’s Gender & Sexuality Studies, African American Studies. 

Award: $23,000 annual renewable scholarship
